Do you feel anxiety or depression is taking up a lot of space in your life? Do you feel disconnected from others, do you avoid activities that are meaningful to you, or do you feel stuck in your attempts to create a life worth living? I view therapy as a joint undertaking to expand your life in the direction of what is important to you. In therapy, I balance listening with active engagement and look to your experiences and values to provide us with helpful information. I believe that you have innate wisdom and strengths within you in even your most painful moments. I trust that you are doing the best you can and that you are capable of change.

Clients have described me as genuine, patient, and kind. I enjoy getting to know each of my clients and providing a safe space for them to explore or affirm what is most important to them, try new behaviors, and experience painful emotions.

In my role as a postdoctoral fellow in the Anxiety Clinic at Portland Psychotherapy, I am able to offer evidence-based psychotherapy on a sliding scale for those in financial need. Please contact me to learn more about my sliding scale rates.
